Purpose:  1) To raise money for TAFE funds.

   2) To have a project that involves TAFE members, students, faculty, and the community.

   3) To provide a school shirt that people could wear to various school activities.

Description of activities:

The Edna High School TAFE Chapter wanted to provide a t-shirt for people to wear to various school events. For over ten years, our chapter has sold the Cowboy T-shirts to TAFE members, students, faculty and the community. The shirt is based on the high school mascot and every year in August the officers of the chapter come up with a new design. At the September meeting, we ask each member to sell at least five of the shirts. The Cowboy T-shirts are our main fundraiser for TAFE. It is a project that involves not only the TAFE members, but also anyone who wants to support the activities of Edna High School. We have been very successful with this fundraiser and many people anticipate the arrival of the new shirts each year. Hardly a day goes by at school that you don’t see someone wearing one of the shirts that we have sold.
